LECCO – With the arrival of spring, the desire to spend time outdoors returns, along with the thrill of fast races at dusk, amidst sweat, effort, and the adrenaline that always accompanies exciting challenges. The GoInUp circuit has become a tradition for Affari&Sport, and this year it has a new look thanks to the addition of an extra stage. Seven evening uphill challenges will take place on seven Thursdays, from May 28th to July 16th, organized thanks to the commitment and passion of Affari&Sport owner Michele Cecotti and Ferdy Cesana, a key figure at the Affari&Sport Lecco branch, and with the work of local running clubs SEC Civate, SkyLario Runners, Sportiva Valbronese ASD, GPL Galbiate, Asd Grignetta, and Cascina Don Guanella.
A constantly growing event
The big news is that the number of stages has been increased from six to seven, to the great satisfaction of both participants and organizers. Year after year, there has been a constant and continuous increase in participation numbers, with all events consistently selling out well in advance.
The convivial post-race atmosphere certainly plays a part in its great success, when participants can share the third half and spend a spring evening in good spirits.
“With the start of spring, there's a desire to experience nature, and with GoInUp, we've created an event that combines the desire to run, be outdoors, and share an evening enjoying local refreshments,” stated Michele Cecotti, owner of Affari&Sport. “The last edition amazed us, with one sold-out event after another, which was immensely gratifying,” he concluded.
The calendar
The menu is for Thursday evenings, with the possibility for everyone to participate in both competitive and non-competitive versions, plus technical footwear testing at each stage and the generous final refreshment.
Seven stages, seven climbs, with the first event earlier than the usual calendar.
1st stage Thursday, May 28th, Chiuso-Camposecco, organized in collaboration with SkyLario Runners, Kailas – Fuga footwear test.
2nd stage Thursday, June 11th, Civate – San Pietro al Monte with the support of SEC Civate, Asics footwear test.
3rd stage Thursday, June 18th, Valbrona – Alpe di Piano organized in collaboration with Sportiva Valbronese ASD, Rossignol footwear test.
4th stage Thursday, June 25th, Ballabio – Pian dei Resinelli, an absolute novelty, resulting from the work of ASD Grignetta, HOKA footwear test.
5th stage Thursday, July 2nd, Galbiate – Monte Barro organized by GPL Galbiate, Brooks footwear test.
6th stage Thursday, July 9th, Valmadrera – Sasso Preguda organized in collaboration with Cascina don Guanella, Rossignol footwear test.
7th stage Thursday, July 16th, Versasio – Stoppani in collaboration with SkyLario Runners, Kailas – Fuga footwear test.
Solidarity
This too is a tradition of all Affari&Sport events: attention to solidarity projects. For this edition, the focus is on Unione Italiana Lotta Alla Distrofia Muscolare O.N.L.U.S. – Sezione Di Lecco (UILDM Lecco). Founded in 2006, the Lecco section is distinguished by its extreme dynamism and high 'problem-solving' capacity in addressing the fragilities of those affected by these diseases.
Proceeds from the collection associated with the GoInUp Affari&Sport circuit will be donated to the "Useful – Exoskeleton" project, born from the encounter between the UILDM Lecco section and the Lombardy Technology Cluster active in the Lecco area in the development of rehabilitation technologies; the project team includes technical partners from Politecnico di Lecco and clinicians from Villa Beretta Valduce (Costamasnaga, LC) and Medea (Bosisio Parini, LC). The Useful project aims to develop and test arm exoskeletons capable of allowing people with muscular dystrophy to regain a certain degree of autonomy in performing some daily living activities, thereby improving their quality of life.

The common denominator for all events will be walking or running for those who cannot.
